Derby Boots Dark Tan Horween Leather
Classic English Derby boots with a rugged construction made from premium veg tanned Horween leather. Made exclusively for us by William Lennon & Co in Derbyshire, England’s last traditional heavy work boot maker.
Originally made for quarrymen the boots made at Lennon’s sold on being fit for the job and for longevity. The man of today might be doing different work but he still wants a tough pair of boots that will last. Luckily they look really good too.
The Derby Boot as a style is a country classic, but our version is a high quality heavyweight that strides with ease between town life and treks in the great outdoors.
It’s all hammers and strange nineteenth century machines at William Lennon’s. The boots are made by hand and eye not automation or AI.

Product Care
You don’t need to do much as these are tough boots. When the boots get wet allow them to dry thoroughly in the air and away from heat sources. Don’t put them on a radiator or in front of the fire as this will damage the leather.
To clean, gently brush away any dirt. Saddle soap or other gentle leather cleaner can be used to get rid of stubborn stains. When dry simply rub in a neutral or tan shoe polish and shine up.
When the Vibram wears out, they can be resoled for around £40.

Reight boots!
I could just stop there, but in the interests of a more helpful review, I’ll say a bit more.
Made of a wonderfully soft leather, the boots just ooze quality. Comfortable straight out of the box with no prolonged breaking in period, unlike my Redwings.
They’re expensive, it’s true, but when you get your hands on them (and then your feet in them) you’ll see why.
They look great, they’re understated but still draw compliments, and they will certainly outlast me, I reckon.
Authentic handmade quality, through and through. As I say, they’re reight boots.

I’ve finally invested in a pair of the Derby boots, having owned some Chukkas already, and just a few days in I’m glad I did. Took me a while because it’s a significant investment, but what you get is a very high quality pair of boots.
The leather is first class, and they’re totally comfortable (for me, anyway) straight out of the box. Look bloody good, too.
Compared to high street boots these are a different level. It’s like going from an instant coffee to one of those posh hipster cafe ones. Both are OK, you’ll get by on instant, but there’s a reason why the fresh coffee is more expensive.
So basically I’d recommend these if the price falls within your budget, but not worth falling into debt for.
If you think more long term, and you like (as I do) the fact they’re handmade just up the road, they’re a bargain. You won’t be needing to replace them every couple of years, that’s for sure.

I don’t have much to say that hasn’t been said about these beautiful boots apart from one thing:
They are incredibly comfortable. Not once they have been worn for a while but instantly. They are bulky and solid but also incredibly comfortable. There’s no way you will ever regret buying them. In one or two years time they will probably cost double what they do now.

I nabbed a pair of these beauties in a size 8 the moment they popped up and I’m Soo glad I did. Been looking for a high quality derby with a proper Vibram sole for ages. Oozing quality as you would expect, comfy out of the box and as tough as Tony T.S Mc Phee after 8 pints of old Peculiar.
The colour of the leather is stunning, even the photo’s don’t do them justice and I imagine they will be a faithful friend.

Just received a pair of these boots after a long manufacturing delay. It was worth the wait. You should always buy the best you can in terms of your bed and your boots – you’re always in either one or the other.
These boots are magnificent.

Received my boots the other day and I am extremely pleased with the quality of the material and the work. I normally wear a 42.5 size boot so had to go up to the size 9. I intended to wear trekking socks with these boots and these plus a pair of wool insoles made the sizing good. I have a broad foot so it was a real joy to find a boot that was such a good fit. Traditional boots need a traditional treatment so next day down to the river for a soaking then a half hour walk. I dried the boots as recommended and now the fit is excellent. In summary then – chuffed to bits with the boots.

Bought a pair of these boots in March.
In my opinion if you don’t own a pair of these in your lifetime you’ve never owned a pair of boots. Great leather, great craftsmanship, comfortable and stylish.
Oh and the service is great.
