How to wash your trousers & some of your jackets
THE MAIN THINGS
The less you wash your trousers and jackets the better. Obviously you don’t want to smell of wee or have egg all over you so at various times you will want to wash them.

These natural fibres need care to keep them looking good.
- Only wash inside out at 30ºC. This will help the colour last longer and keep the fabric stronger.
- Use mild, non biological detergent and use it sparingly. Too much will clog up in your pants and make them more dirty!
- Only use a SLOW spin otherwise the fabric will crease and cause nasty fade lines. Never tumble dry.
- Air dry. Don’t be a dick and put them on a radiator!
Then go and wear them, proud in the knowledge that you actually know what you’re doing.
Anything made of wool needs to be dry cleaned.

Moto and Chukka Boots
You don’t need to do much as these are tough boots. When the boots get wet allow them to dry thoroughly in the air and away from heat sources. Don’t put them on a radiator or in front of the fire as this will damage the leather. To clean them up use a suede brush which will remove mud and stains. If you need to do more just wipe with a damp cloth. You can dab on some neutral leather conditioner to keep the suede water resistant and soft.
CNC and Garrison Belts
You don’t need to do much because these are tough belts. If you feel the need to clean it just use a damp cloth. Don’t get the belt too wet. If your belt strap starts to look dry just add use a light coat of leather conditioner. Don’t saturate it. Buckles will develop a natural patina with age.
