We nicknamed Matthew ‘Dutch’. I think it was Ed’s idea.
We asked him some questions and Dutch delivered. Here we go…
Dutch, how did you end up here?
When your favourite clothing brand comes knocking, you can’t say no. Ed approached me to join the team at HebTroCo during an important chapter, HebTroCo’s 10th year. I jumped at the chance, a real dream come true moment. I’m looking forward to bringing ideas and additional support to a brilliant team, helping to further develop and promote an already strong and successful UK brand. Half the battle is having some of the best and most engaging customer bases around.
What are you wearing?
In this shoot, I’m wearing the beautiful C-Major jacket, an item that quickly became a staple of my wardrobe my certainly one of my favourite all purpose garments. With the C-Major, seeing really is believing, the cut is really pleasing both on the eye, and to wear. Paired with the BRTR-11 tan denim jeans (which look great paired with boots, how Ed wears them, or with trainers, like I wear them), this is the perfect outfit for the coming spring days (please hurry up). The perfect capsule pieces for the wardrobe.
The clothing at HebTroCo is for me, the gold standard for why UK made, UK designed clothing matters: unreal quality, attention to detail, and craftsmanship that’s built to last. The output is real reflection of the team here. Clothing that is honest, hardworking, and full of heart. I believe the clothes are also reflection of the landscape of the Calder Valley (where we’re based), and that’s something to be proud of.
Where are you in the photos?
Beer Necessities. To me, they adopt the spirt of Todmorden. Whether hosting quiz nights (which raise money for the Calderdale Neo-natal unit), holding tabletop sales for local producers, putting on live music or even utilising the many talented local artists we have in Calderdale, to create artwork and branding for the bar. Oh, and they sell great beer and wine.
That’s what we love at HebTroCo. Local people and local businesses, all backing each other and raising the bar together. Todmorden, and the whole of the valley, has a way of pulling people in and lifting them up.
Community, collaboration, and a shared love for where we’re from, that’s what we’re all about.
Most importantly, who’s the dog?!
Bram the collie, my best pal. He loves long walks in the valley and taking me for a pint at Beer Necessities, for some reason. I don’t blame him.
