Wool is the super fibre of feel-good clothes. Soft and cosy like our jumpers, textured and tough like our tweed overshirts, smooth and long lasting like our jackets.

Hard-wearing, warm, breathable, antibacterial, biodegradable – you’re probably already familiar with the wool crib sheet. That’s not what I’m here to sell you. You already know it’s worthy.

I want to share how I feel when I’m dressed in quality wool.

To my touch, a soft strength. To my eye, a natural lustre. Wool garments have character in the way they hang, move, and drape around the body. A magical metamorphosis of twisted yarns, spun, looped and woven. Humble fibres becoming something strong, something I can slip on and off thousands of times. Something that makes me look good, and feel even better.

The more we work with wool at HebTroCo, the more we love it.

Like everything we do, all our wool garments are British-made. Jumpers knitted in Scotland. Overshirts, jackets, vests and coats made in British factories using woollen fabrics woven in the North of England. An Action Blanket hand woven in Yorkshire.

Wool is timeless.

I’ve got a hat that my grandfather wore 100 years ago, a cosy wool jumper that belonged to my dad. And I’ll be leaving behind some choice wool clothes for future generations to wear and feel good in.
