The wonderful folks at Cargodale pedalled your orders to Satnam, for many years, using electric cargo bikes. The ECO-friendly way to get from A to B. We were very sad to find out that they’ve ceased operation, last week. We’re doing our best to step in their shoes…
Satnam’s Post Office got flooded badly, Boxing Day 2015. The safe jammed and as it’s a bombproof unit made to withstand direct attack by a tank, it took days for the experts to get into it. Satnam worked round the clock to get up and running again and has managed to get the place going as an information hub and general get-stuff-done place.

Hi this is me, Satnam Singh the Postmaster at Hebden Bridge Post Office.
I’ve been here for sixteen years and have enjoyed every minute of it. During this time I have met some very interesting people from all walks of life. Creative and truly inspiring.
Running the PO has its responsibilities. We perceive ourselves as a kind of hub of the community and our role ranges from assisting, informing and ensuring members of the public receive the correct information and service.
Being self-employed gives me the flexibility to run the business how I want. Historically my family originate from the Punjab – now part of India. My parents arrived in the UK during the 60’s and have never stopped working hard since. Being brought up with this ethos, I possess the tendency to roll up my sleeves and get my hands dirty.
I’m very passionate about charity and helping those less fortunate. This is displayed by the random antics I do to tap money off people!
Hebden Bridge is a unique place and I feel Hebtroco only further displays the individuality. Their trousers kind of encapsulate the creativity and quality of the area.
