Cold-Iron ShirtDry Waxed 100% Cotton / rustic brown
The Cold-Iron Shirt is a beast. More of a coat than a shirt but comfy and light feeling because the wax outer isn’t stiff and the quilted lining is soft like clouds.
Why Cold-Iron?
According to folklore cold-iron was used to repel evil spirits and bring good luck. Put on that Iron Shirt and drive Satan out of earth! Horseshoes made of cold-iron were hung over doors to ward off malevolent forces in just this way.
The HebTroCo Cold-Iron Shirt wards off the rain and the cold. Wax cotton outer from Halley Stevensons in Dundee, Scotland the masters of waxed cotton. This blend of oils and waxes proofs the cotton to keep out the wind and rain. The deluxe wool-insulated quilting keeps in your heat. We use HD Wool from Saltaire just over the hill who only use wool from UK sheep. Keeping it local keeps it cosy!
It warms our hearts that the wax cotton is from Scotland and the insulation is British wool. Another great British HebTroCo banger.

Size Guide
In the photos: Ed is 5’8″ / 10.5 stone and wears a size Medium.
If you compare the measurements with our original Iron Shirts, you will notice that they differ slightly. You should, however, stick to your usual Iron Shirt / HebTroCo size. The differences in measurements are down to the thickness of the insulated lining of the Cold-Iron Shirt.

Product Care
Ideally you’re not going to wash a wax cotton jacket.
Spot clean any bad stains gently with a damp cloth.
If you absolutely must, it can be hand washed in cool water but do not spin it, drip dry only and definitely do not tumble dry.
Reproof with wax reproofing product. Use Halley Stevensons EverWax reproofing tin if you would like to maintain the original appearance of the garment. Otherwise, you can use a reproofing wax of your choice.

Ive been wearing this for three months now and I love it. It has become my go to jacket.
Ive got another Iron Shirt and this Cold Iron is the same size and fits perfectly even with the extra thickness from the wool lining.
It smells nice, fits great and looks very cool.
I’m wondering whether the chest pockets will fill with water if I wear it in a proper downpour? But I’ll deal with that if it happens!
Another great piece from Hebtroco and a fantastic addition to my wardrobe.
Thanks guys

More of a jacket than a shirt, this is a thing of beauty. It looks, feels and smells proper and does a great job of keeping weather out. Rain doesn’t soak in and a cold wind never gets near. Don’t expect it to be breathable if you’re walking uphill!
I chose M for 78Kg and 182cm tall and it fits snugly.

Absolutely cracking shacket. As soon as i got the mail I knew this was for me and was not wrong. Usual hard work has gone into designing and building this. I own MANY pieces from HBTRC, and will own more in the future, the quality, brand and ethos aligns with me 100%. 6ft 80kg, L fits perfect.

Best overshirt I own by far. Windproof and did not get wet in heavy continous rain for 30+ mins. Keeps you warm even at 0 (real feel -2) with 3 layers on, base of wool. Chose an M at 1.78 tall 72kg and fits perfectly for me. Thank you Hebtroco team!
