"Made Right Here"

The HebTroCo Mixtape by Jim McGuinn

Want a taste of summer with cool tunes and a sense of Hebden whimsy?

We asked DJ Jim McGuinn to make us a e-mix tape. It’s not the sort that you used to make to impress girls or boys with when you were younger though. Jim’s added adverts, spoken weirdness and he actually mixes the tunes together rather than crashing them into each other. This is a full custom job.

His brief was “Hebden Bridge, hippy psychedelic, Vietnam war vibes, Easy Rider Moto love in”. Jim nailed it.

Turn it on, tune it in and drop yourself out.

Who the fuck is Jim McGuinn?

Jim started DJ’ing at a young age when he realised he couldn’t dance.

He’s played festivals such as Glastonbury, Isle of Wight, Tramlines and the very lovely Beatherder.

He also has a long running residency at The Frog & Parrot in Sheffield.

His dancing hasn’t improved.

And what the fuck is in the mix?

Detachment B (Pleiku) of the 245th PSYOP Company identified a strategic hamlet; Hebden Bridge and within this hamlet, manufacturing unit facility identified as “HebTroCo”.
Audio recording made of broadcast from said facility.

Audio tape identifies the following:

Kinks – Village Green Preservation Society
Joe Tex – I Can’t See You No More
Watson & The Sherlocks – Standing on the Corner
Jimi Hendrix – Izabella
Doors – Peace Frog
Humble Pie – A Nifty Little Number Like You
Led Zeppelin – Misty Mountain Hop
Dee Dee Ramone – Motorbikin’
Fairey Brass Band – Pacific 202
Donovan – Atlantis
