The CUTDr Adam ‘Brink’ Brinkworth answers questions about his personal style...

From the Magazine | August 19, 2025

Dr Adam ‘Brink’ Brinkworth MA, RCA is the founder of the international architectural design practice Brinkworth, which has worked in over 300 cities in its 34-year history.

Favourite piece of clothing?

“A mate, Nico, (the artist Ornamental Conifer) painted my race number 8, name and lightning bolts on an old, secondhand Lewis Leathers jacket. As he says, ‘Never Perfect, Always Awesome!’”

Whose style do you admire?

“I have a mate called Guy Williams who has a brand called Bonzorro (@bonzorro), he builds and deals in vintage bike stuff, clothing and accessories, and produces his own branded clothing. I admire the way he puts an outfit together. It looks effortless on him, but if I wore the same clobber I would look like I was wearing fancy dress”.

One choice of footwear for the rest of your life…

“Vans Supreme collab Half Cabs. I have a lot of them”.

Favourite accessory?

“A leather card holder that Roofer Dave (@tharoofer) made me. It’s black with green stitching, has a hand-carved winged 8 on one side and the motto ‘So good, So far’ on the reverse. It has a lattice black and white strap and brass hardware. Now I never lose my shit when I’m out late”.

Anything you wish you could wear but don’t think you can pull off?

“Yes, lots of my old stuff is too tight nowadays”.

What style or type of clothing makes you cringe?

“The combination of skinny jeans and large boots make people look like a golf club”.

What’s your day-to-day outfit?

“Chilled Aries T-shirt, Engineered Garments strides, and a cap. I have a lot of caps. I’ve worn them every day since I was a kid and now I have a dent in my forehead”.

And what do you wear when you’re trying to impress?

“It’s always best for me not to, as when I try it usually looks worse”.

Your dream item of clothing?

“I would love Sofia Prantera from Aries to make me a custom-coloured sheepskin jacket. I have two and they remind me of old Patagonia, but with the quality, design and execution turned up to 11”.
