The Roadrunner is our response to the classic waxed motorcycling jacket. A style that has transcended its ride origins to become a wear anywhere look good classic.

Designed to rival the old waxed cotton jackets your dad had, or ones found in quality vintage shops – all revered for their make quality and proven durability.

We’ve taken the same approach to design and make as per 80 years ago. No short cuts, everything considered, tried and tested. British made to last using the best fabrics for the job.

Made for us in the Far East (of England!) in Great Yarmouth by renowned makers of waterproof outerwear, Yarmouth Oilskins. Each Roadrunner Jacket is sewn together by one person. We love that.

Riders. Please note that the Roadrunner Jacket is styled like a vintage motorcycling jacket. It not intended to be worn as PPE. Ride at your own risk. DBAD.

Made the right way

What makes the Roadrunner different to other jackets on the market?

Well let’s start by looking back at the 1950s through to the 1970s. Back then, waxed cotton jackets were made from heavier weight cloth than that chosen for most of today’s modern equivalents. They were made with a purpose and that was to protect the wearer from the rain and the cold, often at speed in the open air. That heavier cloth lasts longer and looks better structurally. It can take a beating without dropping to bits and like a great pair of jeans will keep on looking the business the more worn and battered it gets.

This is the bar we set to achieve with the design and make of the Roadrunner Jacket.

Ed has been wearing his pre-production sample jacket all through the wet summer of 2024 including on a long motorcycle road trip from Hebden Bridge to Helsinki and back.

Made for us in the Far East

(of England)

Based in Great Yarmouth, Yarmouth Oilskins started making in 1898 as Yarmouth Stores, supplying fishermen with clothing, hosiery, seamen’s oil and waterproof clothing. Over the years they’ve supplied workwear and speciality waterproof garments to the industries of the sea.

They’re a small scale, independent company with a background in traditional workwear. Their story and values align well with ours.

We teamed up with our mates, filmmaker Tim Royle and pro mountain biker Chris Akrigg to make a short film.

    Helped me survive storm Darragh

Been buying from Hebttoco since 2021 and they’ve never let me down, and the roadrunner is no exception. It’s the best waxed jacket I’ve owned. I’ve had Barbours and American-made ones, but this beats them all. It’s sturdy, cosy, and looks great with pretty much everything. It’s got enough pockets on it to store a can of lager, your phone, and any other EDC stuff you might wanna jam in your pockets. Not to mention it saved me from storm Darragh.

So I’ve become an avid collector of the good stuff hebtroco produce. Attention to detail and quality in everything they do, but the roadrunner is next level! I absolutely love this jacket. I felt like a kid at Christmas waiting for it to arrive, it has, and is even better than I expected. Perfection. Cheers hebtroco
