What is Selvedge?
Selvedge is old-style denim, woven on narrow looms and typically has a more characterful appearance and a higher level of quality than mass-produced denim.
The M16 jacket is made of raw denim. This means it hasn’t been washed and it hasn’t been through chemical colour-fast treatments. It has been sanforized though, which means that shrinkage on first wash will be minimal – less than 2% in length and 1% in width.
How is it eco denim?
Candiani are Italian denim masters. They are also the world’s most eco denim mill. The M16 Jacket is made from Candiani selvedge denim and has the highest environmental credentials.
Environmental sustainability is at the forefront of all stages of production of selvedge denim. Using BCI cotton, a micro-plastics free dye process, solar power and water recycling to name some of the process used.

What a great piece of “hardwear”. Sturdy, sleek, tough and very well made troughout with attention to subtle details. Double black is pretty stealthty and fit is perfect. Such quality and craftmanship is so rare nowdays – it feels bulletproof, body armour like. I couldn’t be happier. Thanks guys and kudos to all at Hebtro.co team!!!

As I took this jacket out of its classic brown paper packaging I could tell the M16 was special. If you like a western trucker style jacket this one raises the bar to a whole new level: the weight and quality of the fabric, the vintage black shade and the cut: small detail but the shape of the collar is something to admire. No tiny front pockets that will barely take a credit card or a ticket for a gig. You can get a mobile phone in there! Deep pockets all-round including the sturdy internal ones – no feeble tacked material here. The omission of rivet button cuffs and waist adjusters really slims and elevates the look and the UK made zips for the gusseted cuffs adds to the comfort and style. No stamped leather patch on the back but a beautifully embroidered one. If you’re thinking about getting one of these, do it and support British design and manufacture at the same time.

Absolutely love this jacket, the quality, fit and style are second to none. First time wearing it and I’ve had two compliments already. The only slight niggle is that I’ve just tried to hang it on a hook in my local ale house and it doesn’t have a hanging loop, otherwise faultless.
