Made for us by Treorchy Sewing Enterprise in Wales...
As in many parts of Britain, when the big brands moved to offshore manufacture, the highly skilled cutters and machinists lost their jobs – but they didn’t forget their skills. And now with new fire the Welsh dragon returns!
Within the next five years their aim is to bring experienced people back into the textile industry as well as training young people to join the workforce, all doing meaningful jobs that they can be proud of.
We’re supporting this great project with plenty of orders. Linen shirts are the fourth product and the next shirt from TSE is already in sampling.
Wear your wrinkles with pride
Part of the charm of linen is its texture. It crinkles and creases with washing and wear which goes nicely with the slubby casual appearance* of this great natural fibre.
If you’re not into creases you can get to work with your steam iron as we’ve done with the shirt in the photos. For everyday wear we like to wear wrinkles with pride.
*slubby: small soft clumps of fibre

Just a quick review about sizing – I’ve had my eye on this shirt for a while but never got round to buying it. I’d presumed I’d be medium (180 cm, 75 kg, cyclist build) but after comparing the measurements with a couple of other shirts I thought I’d take a chance with one of the remaining size smalls at sale price. Perfect, medium would have been enormous. Get one before it’s gone.

Delighted with this. Soft, comfortable and nicely cut. Feels like it’s made to last.
