Jacksnipe Overjacket100% COTTON DRY WAX / 7.25 OZ
Ten rounds in and the Jacksnipe is still a firm favourite. New camo in a weather beating dry-waxed cotton. Plenty of pockets to stash your stuff. The Crosshair is a hunting jacket named after the bird that's the master of camouflage. Designed in Calderdale. Cloth from Dundee. Horn buttons from the Cotswolds. Cut and sewn together in Great Yarmouth.
Made for layering
The Jacksnipe fits over wool jumpers, overshirts and vests with ease. Pile it on and go. There’s plenty of room in the sleeves and body to move freely. No bulk, no fuss, it’s all function.
Throw it on over just a t-shirt and still look sharp. The Jacksnipe is built for year-round wear and that’s why it’s become a HebTroCo favourite. Helping you get the most out of your HebTroCo wardrobe whatever the season.
The Crosshair is made from a 100% BCI cotton outer with a flurocarbon-free dry wax finish by Dundee-based fabric masters Halley Stevensons. Cut and sewn for us in Great Yarmouth, scroll down to see the making in action.
Like all previous editions of the Jacksnipe Overjacket, the Crosshair is a limited run and won’t be repeated.

Plenty of Pockets
Two generous handwarmer pockets with plenty of space to stash stuff.
Securely tucked underneath these are two patch pockets each with enough room for a large smart phone or your specs.
Two large inside poacher’s pockets with button closures – they’ll easily accommodate a notebook or roadkill pheasant / nut roast that’s fallen off the back of a lorry.
The Story of the Jacksnipe
We get all the weather on the Pennines. Temperatures go up and down. Ed wanted something jacket-length that he could wear with (or without) the warmers of the HebTroCo wardrobe. Over the years, we’ve picked up lots of vintage hunting jackets and they gave us plenty of ideas to work with. A-line fit, plenty of pockets, a weather-resisting finish that will age nicely – all key points in the design brief.
Made in the Far East
(of England)
Based in Great Yarmouth, Yarmouth Oilskins started making in 1898 as Yarmouth Stores, supplying fishermen with clothing, hosiery, seamen’s oil and waterproof clothing. Over the years they’ve supplied workwear and speciality waterproof garments to the industries of the sea.
They’re a small scale, independent company with a background in traditional workwear. Their story and values align well with ours.

Product Care
Ideally you’re not going to wash a wax cotton jacket.
Spot clean any bad stains gently with a damp cloth.
If you absolutely must, it can be hand washed in cool water but do not spin it, drip dry only and definitely do not tumble dry.
Reproof with Halley Stevenson’s reproofing product.
