Jacksnipe Overjacket 4.1OZ Dry Wax 100% Cotton Outer
The ninth edition of our bestselling overjacket. Dry wax 100% cotton outer by Halley Stevensons for stealthy weather resistance without the weight or oily feel of traditional waxed cotton. Wear over layers without feeling bulky. Designed in Calderdale, made to our spec in Great Yarmouth. Number 9 is a refined, breathable overjacket that helps you get the most out of your HebTroCo wardrobe.
The Jacksnipe is a roomy jacket designed to be worn over lots of layers without feeling bulky. Big jumpers, overshirts are all accommodated with ease. There’s plenty of room in the sleeves and body to allow you to move freely – no fuss, all function.
You can also wear it over just a t-shirt. The Jacksnipe is a year-round solution to help you get the most out of your HebTroCo wardrobe. Layer up and go.
We get all the weather on the Pennines. Temperatures go up and down. Ed wanted something jacket-length that he could wear with (or without) the warmers of the HebTroCo wardrobe. Over the years, we’ve picked up lots of vintage hunting jackets and they gave us plenty of ideas to work with. A-line fit, plenty of pockets, a weather-resisting finish that will age nicely – all key points in the design brief.
Made from a 100% BCI cotton outer finished with a flurocarbon-free dry wax finish by Halley Stevensons of Dundee. Cut and sewn for us in the Far East (of England) in Great Yarmouth.
Like all previous editions of the Jacksnipe Overjacket, the Number 9 is a limited run and won’t be repeated.
Two generous handwarmer pockets with plenty of space to stash stuff.
Securely tucked underneath these are two patch pockets each with enough room for a large smart phone or your specs.
Two large inside poacher’s pockets with button closures – they’ll easily accommodate a notebook or roadkill pheasant / nut roast that’s fallen off the back of a lorry.

Based in Great Yarmouth, Yarmouth Oilskins started making in 1898 as Yarmouth Stores, supplying fishermen with clothing, hosiery, seamen’s oil and waterproof clothing. Over the years they’ve supplied workwear and speciality waterproof garments to the industries of the sea.
They’re a small scale, independent company with a background in traditional workwear. Their story and values align well with ours.

Do not machine wash, do not dry clean, do not iron.
Ideally you’re not going to wash a wax cotton jacket.
Spot clean any bad stains gently with a damp cloth.
If you absolutely must, it can be hand washed in cool water but do not spin it, drip dry only and definitely do not tumble dry.
