Good looking, long lasting 11.5oz tan canvas jeans in our new and improved GVNR fit - regular, slim profile. Not skinny or baggy. They feel comfortable when standing, moving and sitting. No tightness in the ballroom! No crack on display when you bend over!
Canvas worth waiting for
The GVNR-C aren’t our first canvas rodeo, we’ve travelled this road before. Before the HebTroCo denim days our jeans were made exclusively from canvas and moleskin cloth. The best we could get our hands on to give our jeans that sought after longevity.
We spent a couple of years searching for the right canvas to make the GVNR-C. The quality of cloth is always our starting point. We sampled and rejected three different fabrics on our quest for the best until finally landing in Milan, ironically only a short drive from where we source our denim! Italian fabrics are rightly world famous for their quality and this canvas is from the Italian mill, Dragoni.
It’s a 100% cotton canvas. No “dirty” stretch, like all our jeans. Dyed and finished just for us in a great tan colour, like the original duck canvas from vintage workwear. The quality of the yarn gives the canvas a fantastic feel and slubby texture, similar only to what we’ve seen before in some Japanese selvedge denim. Woven in a Panama weave (also known as basket weave), it drapes well and is hardwearing – the perfect combination for a good looking long lasting pair of jeans.
Designed by Amelia on a Calderdale cutting table, cut and sewn for us in London. The quality of finish, inside and out is unmatched.

Cut and sewn for us in Walthamstow, London by Blackhorse Lane Atelier. They have the reputation of making outstanding quality jeans and jackets, all with an exceptional finish.
Like us BLA are small scale and independent. They are deeply rooted in their local community and are committed to supporting it through employment and creative projects.

Having spent a fair bit of time umming and aahing about forking out for these jeans, I’m now spending my time simply ooohing at how marvellous they are. The canvas is ridiculously comfy from the outset while the fit and profile are perfect; just enough room at the upper end to play a cheeky game of pocket billiards but not so loose that it looks like you’re heading for an MC Hammer festival. Bang on.
