Some brands use ”vanity sizing” but we don’t. “Stretch” jeans from other brands might actually be several inches bigger than they say on the label.

1. Grab a pair of trousers that fit you & a tape measure.

2. Do up the top button & lay them flat on a table.

3. Measure across (inches) like the photo below:

4. Double that number & you have the waist size. Easy!

If you’re between sizes, we recommend going UP – so if your jeans measure 18.5 across go for a 38 not a 36.

Classic GVNR like our best selling jeans, now in a whole new fabric.

Made in our new and improved GVNR fit. Regular, slim profile. Not skinny or baggy. They feel comfortable when standing, moving and sitting. No tightness in the ballroom! No crack on display when you bend over!

100% cotton 11.5 oz canvas from Dragoni in Milan. Dyed and finished just for us in a great tan colour, like the original duck canvas from vintage workwear. The quality of the yarn gives the canvas a fantastic texture and feel similar to what we’ve only seen before in some Japanese selvedge denim.

Cut and sewn for us in London by the best in the business Blackhorse Lane Atelier. The quality of finish, inside and out is unmatched.

These jeans are completely plastic free. Sewn with Tencel thread, solid brass buttons, heavy cotton pocketing.

Canvas worth waiting for...

We’ve spent a couple of years searching for the right quality of canvas to make these jeans.

The quality of cloth is always our starting point and having sampled and rejected three fabrics, our quest for the best finally landed us in Milan and – ironically – only a short drive from where we source our denim! Italian fabrics are rightly world famous for their quality and this canvas is from the Italian mill, Dragoni. 

It’s a 100% cotton canvas – no “dirty” stretch, as per all our jeans – woven in a Panama weave (also known as basket weave). The cloth drapes well and is hardwearing – the perfect combination for a good looking long lasting pair of jeans.

The GVNR-C are made for us from our pattern by Blackhorse Lane Atelier in London. They have a reputation for making some of the very best jeans in the world. Like us they’re small scale, independent and value quality above all else.

No plastic in these jeans

All the fabrics and threads used in the GVNR-C are made from naturally occurring, biodegradable materials: 100% cotton canvas, 100% cotton pocketing and labels – all sewn together using Tencel™ thread derived from wood pulp.

The solid brass buttons can be removed and recycled when the jeans eventually reach their end of life. Stronger, harder wearing stitched bar tacks instead of metal rivets to provide reinforcement in key stress points.

Care

Gentle wash at 30. Line dry, iron medium. Do not tumble dry. Do not bleach.

Sizing Guide

Ed is 5’8″ / 10.5 stone and wears 30 waist, 28 leg.

Your HebTroCo jeans are made with an extra 1-inch in the leg to compensate for first wash shrinkage (e.g. a 30″ will measure 31″ before first wash). Any shrinkage will be in the leg, not the waist.
