Everybody has a skull
They are an enduring image in art representing the eternal cycle of life and death.
Skulls are a repeating motif for HebTroCo. You will see them on our jeans patch, our embroidered garment labels and now this special edition t-shirt.
Alan Coulson is an acclaimed portrait painter based up the road from us in Hebden Bridge. His work has featured in the National Portrait Gallery and even on the cover of the New Yorker magazine. We’re big fan of Alan’s work. His skill with a paintbrush and tube of oil paint is out of this world. We set Alan the challenge of leaving the familiarity of cotton canvas, painting instead on a piece of selvedge denim, the same we use for our GVNR 14 jeans. Alan’s finished painting was transformed into a half tone digital image by Vic and scaled down to fit the t-shirt back.
It’s all about giving space for creativity to flow and good things to happen.
Your Bones Two Ton Tee will be screen printed by Jim and the team at Huddersfield Screen Printing using water-based inks. The print will feel soft and light, and will last as long as the tee itself. Printed-to-order, so you get something made just for you, not mass-produced.

- 300gsm 100% cotton jersey from Italy.
- Rib neck
95% cotton 5% elastane. When we can find an alternative to this elastane content, that gives the customer a t-shirt that lasts a long time we will use that. Until then we’re making something that will last, after all something is only sustainable if it lasts the hammer from wearing and washing. - Sumptuous and soft raised finish on the inside
Your skin will love it! - Locally printed by Huddersfield Screen-printing using water-based inks
Printed with Permaset textile inks, an eco-friendly and water-based medium. They are Soil Association approved which means any leftover ink from the printing process can be washed away with other waste water.
