Bob Job Chore Coat11.5oz tan canvas
Life’s a breeze when you throw on a Bob Job. There's no chore too big, no task too small. It’ll lift your mood in an instant. Tough canvas cloth, room for layers, solid brass hardware and decent-sized pockets. Designed on our Calderdale cutting table, British-made like everything we do.
You won’t have seen a Bob Job in canvas before – this is the first. The cloth is an 11oz 100% cotton canvas originally developed for jeans. Proof of the pudding really: if it can handle life as a hard-working pair of trousers, it’s more than up to the job of a coat. Tough, dependable and comfortable from the get-go.
The colour is custom dyed for us, the kind of tan that evokes memories of classic workwear, like old American duck canvas jackets that have aged beautifully after years of wear. We think it looks especially good with indigo, so if you’re wearing jeans, you’re on for a winner.
The Bob Job style is our take on the classic American chore coats we’ve spent years ogling over in vintage shops and collector magazines. Past editions have come in selvedge denim and Bedford cord, and now canvas joins the line-up. Amelia designed the pattern from scratch rather than copying an original. It’s longer than a jacket, giving you the coverage of a coat with the easy feel of a work jacket and room for layers underneath when the weather calls for it.
