Bob Job Chore Coat Selvedge Denim
14oz Regenagri selvedge denim from the Candiani mill in Milan.
Longer than a jacket with enough room to fit layers underneath.
Amelia designed a brand new selvedge coat pattern, with all the style of the great vintage American ones that we’ve geeked out over in dusty shops and collector magazines. Made for us by Bob and his team in Leicester.
Contrast stitching, skull buttons same as on our jeans, lots of pockets.
Made from beautiful 14oz Regenagri selvedge denim by our pals at the Candiani Mill in Italy. Wear it and the more battered it gets, the better it will look. From new the denim feels starchy but will soften and develop characterful fades with use.
Compact collar that you can wear up or down, buttoned like a shirt or open like lapels.
Big old triple stitched run and fell seams for strength (but mostly looks let’s be honest).
Double button holes to adjust the cuffs. Dazzle people with your cuffing skills as you use the single button to ingenious effect.
Chore jacket? No thanks! We want a chore COAT and we want to go out in it.

A Proper Bob Job
A bob job is a motorcycle, not fully custom like a chopper, but cut down with loads of weight taken out of the stock build. It’s just the same as the bob hairstyle, where the cut is a cropped version, less weight but more style.
This hasn’t really got anything to do with our selvedge coat, but it’s a nice story. The coat has been proudly made by BOB and his team in Leicester though and a JOB is the same as a chore isn’t it?

Regenerative Agriculture is the antidote to damaging, intensive farming. Farming with nature. Not just avoiding synthetic fertiliser and pesticides but using extra ecological practices.
Intensive farming leads to soil degradation. Regenerative agriculture is a way of farming that builds and improves soil fertility, whilst sequestering and storing atmospheric CO2, increasing on farm diversity and improving water and energy management.
What is Selvedge denim?
Selvedge is a premium denim woven only on vintage shuttle looms.
Compared to modern projectile looms, selvedge looms are smaller, slower and very noisy, but the character and durability of the denim they produce is unmatched.
The loom’s low yield is why selvedge is considered a premium denim and not the go-to choice for mass-market jeans.
The word “selvedge” comes from “self-edged,” which describes how the loom finishes the edges of the denim.
In the video, Vic explains how selvedge denim is made and why it’s the HebTroCo denim of choice.
Woven in the world's most eco denim mill
We source all our denim from Italian textile masters, Candiani. Their approach to production innovation and sustainability is nothing short of exceptional. It’s no wonder they are considered the world’s most eco denim mill.
The Bob Job Chore Coat is made from Candiani selvedge denim and has the highest environmental credentials.
Environmental sustainability is at the forefront of all stages of production of Candiani denim. Using BCI cotton, a micro-plastics-free dye process, solar power and water recycling to name some of the process used.
Plant based (biodegradable, non toxic, microplastics-free) sizing compound is used in the dyeing process, replacing all hazardous chemicals that are commonly used in the denim industry.

Product Care
All our denim is raw (not colourfast) and your approach to washing will make it look great or ruin it. Follow our denim care guide and you’ll be fine. If you choose not to, you’re on your own.
When you buy any of our denim garments, we’ll include a copy of our Denim Care booklet in your parcel. If your booklet goes walkabout, gets eaten by a dog or stolen as a bookmark, no worries, we’ve published a copy of it online, so no excuses.

Phill (verified owner) –
Hands down the best jacket I’ve ever owned. Extremely well made, comfortable and stylish. As sad as it sounds I really look forward to wearing it and find any excuse to do so.
Controversially I’d recommend sizing up. I’m a medium in HebTroCo shirts, over shirts, the HD wool vest and sweatshirt. Medium in this meant not being able to wear anything other than a T-shirt underneath and having restricted arm movement. The large is a much better fit if you want to wear any layers under it.
