Zero 6 Denim Jacket14oz selvedge denim
A new classic for the HebTroCo core range. The 'action back' means it's easy to wear with layers. Cut and sewn to our pattern at Blackhorse Lane in London. Born from two vintage workwear jackets. We’ve reworked them and added a pinch of magic to make your new favourite denim jacket. Upgraded with heavy duty denim from our favourite Italian mill. Practical pockets like we always deliver.
Zero 6 is born from two classic mid-century workwear jackets in our vintage archive. Amelia has waved her design wand to create something new and very HebTroCo, condensing the styles and adding more function.
The articulated ‘action back’ does for the Zero 6 jacket what the A-line cut does for our classic Jacksnipe jackets. It allows layers of clothing to be added or taken away and accommodates different body shapes without spoiling the great look of the garment and indeed you in that garment.
We’re proud to introduce the Zero 6 into our range, it ticks all our boxes for style, longevity and practicality. A simplified look with understated style.

Origins of the Zero 6
Short cut, boxy denim work jackets were made in America from the late nineteenth century onwards. What we refer to as the ‘Type 1’ jacket comes from the ‘Zero years’, the start of the twentieth century. Our jacket inherits the large single front pocket and a similar shape.
The basic Type 1 design kept momentum with only styling and detail changes right through to the 1960s. Nowadays we refer to this style as ‘the denim jacket’. It’s the uniform of the working man with some added cowboy and biker style, accompanied by a soundtrack that shifts from blues, country to rock-and-roll.
6 comes from 60, as in 1960. It’s the year written in the label of our Canadian vintage jacket that was perhaps once worn by someone working in a workshop or service station. It’s the action or articulated back that we’ve taken from this jacket’s design. The pleats on the back provide movement when needed – a clever way to provide functionality without adding bulk.
The action back does for the Zero 6 jacket what the A-line cut does for our classic Jacksnipe jackets. It allows layers of clothing to be added or taken away and accommodates different body shapes with ease.
More about the make...
100% Regenagri® certified cotton
Regenerative Agriculture is the antidote to damaging, intensive farming. Farming with nature. Not just avoiding synthetic fertiliser and pesticides but using extra ecological practices.
Intensive farming leads to soil degradation. Regenerative agriculture is a way of farming that builds and improves soil fertility, whilst sequestering and storing atmospheric CO2, increasing on farm diversity and improving water and energy management.

Product Care
Your Zero 6 jacket is made from raw selvedge denim. Please follow the wash and care instructions included with your order to avoid f*cking it up. Raw denim is not colourfast and requires special attention when laundering.
For the best fades, washing less often will yield better results. Take a look at our denim care online guide for a comprehensive overview on what’s required.
