“The traditional workwear jacket still has value today as a smart, hard-wearing and practical layer.”

The Selvedge Chore Jacket uses premium denim, jeans hardware, and HebTroCo styling. All made a hop across the border in Lancashire.

What is selvedge?

Selvedge is old-style denim, woven on narrow looms and typically has a more characterful appearance and a higher level of quality than mass-produced denim.

The Chore Jacket denim is raw. This means it hasn’t been washed and it hasn’t been through chemical colour-fast treatments. It has been sanforized though, which means that shrinkage on first wash will be minimal – less than 2% in length and 1% in width.

How is it eco denim?

Candiani are Italian denim masters. They are also the world’s most eco denim mill. The Chore Jacket is made from Candiani selvedge denim and has the highest environmental credentials.

Environmental sustainability is at the forefront of all stages of production of selvedge denim. Using BCI cotton, a micro-plastics free dye process, solar power and water recycling to name some of the process used.

Washing less = best fade

As your jacket gets older and starts to fade you’ll want to create your own fade lines rather than have the washing machine do it. If you want the best look, wash at 3 to 6 month intervals or as little as possible. Follow our washing directions here. Don’t just stick them in the washing machine with everything. For best results drip dry, don’t spin, and definitely don’t tumble dry.
