M16 meets Regenagri®

The R14 are a new version of our bestselling M16 model. Cut to our Contour fit, the slimmest we do, with a narrower thigh, knee and hem. They’re not skinny but as slim as you can get using 100% cotton, raw denim.

So what’s the difference between R14 and M16? It’s all in the cloth. The R14 are cut from a lighter weight, 14oz selvedge denim – fan-bloody-tastic news for all you M16 fans – that’s a new rotation of jeans in your denim drawer.

But that’s not all. There’s something pretty special about this new cloth. Scroll down to find out what…

Regenerative Agriculture is the antidote to damaging, intensive farming. Farming with nature. Not just avoiding synthetic fertiliser and pesticides but using extra ecological practices.

Intensive farming leads to soil degradation. Regenerative agriculture is a way of farming that builds and improves soil fertility, whilst sequestering and storing atmospheric CO2, increasing on farm diversity and improving water and energy management.

Candiani is the first denim mill in the world to offer Regenagri® denim. We bought some of the first rolls and the R14 Jeans will be our second denim garment to be available in this cloth.

What is Selvedge?

Selvedge is old-style denim, woven on narrow looms and typically has a more characterful appearance and a higher level of quality than mass-produced denim.

You can see the selvedge (self edged) stripe at the turn up. It’s where during weaving the outside edge of the cloth has been woven together to stop it having a raw edge.

Woven in the world's most eco denim mill

We source all our denim from Italian textile masters, Candiani. Their approach to production innovation and sustainability is nothing short of exceptional. It’s no wonder they are considered the world’s most eco denim mill.

Your R14 Jeans are made from Candiani selvedge denim and have the highest environmental credentials.

Environmental sustainability is at the forefront of all stages of production of Candiani denim. Using BCI, organic or Regenagri cotton, a micro-plastics-free dye process, solar power and water recycling to name some of the process used.

Plant based (biodegradable, non toxic, microplastics-free) sizing compound is used in the dyeing process, replacing all hazardous chemicals that are commonly used in the denim industry.

Care Guide

Washing your jeans is easy. Wrecking them is really difficult IF you follow our care guide. If you choose not to, you’re on your own.

When you buy any of our denim garments, we’ll throw a copy of our Denim Care booklet in your parcel.

If your booklet goes walkabout, gets eaten by a dog, or stolen as a bookmark, no worries, we’ve published a copy of it online, so no excuses.

Sizing Guide

Ed wears 32/30 in the photos. He’s 5’8″ and 10.5 stone.

They are meant to be worn with a turn-up so the selvedge is visible. We’ll send them to you ready-to-wear with a 2-inch turn-up. If you’re planning on wearing them without a turn-up, just bear in mind that the actual leg length will be 2 inches longer than what you order. I.e. a 30in leg is actually 32in without the turn-up. You follow?

Check the waist sizing below if you’re ordering from us the first time. You’ll often need a size larger than many other brands as we don’t do vanity sizing.

Any questions at all please email us and we’ll do our best to guide you.

Lovely jeans! Perfect fit and perfect leg length (32/28) fantastic quality and the fit is perfect. Got these after buying a pair of the double black m16 from the buy it or leave it section.
My wardrobe is slowly turning into a hebtroco showroom!

First pair of hebtroco jeans. Even my missus said they looked proper quality when I unpacked them. I’ve always bought the best I can. So I’m going to keep using hebtroco now. They fit great. Slimmish but not skinny. I always turn my jeans up so right look for me. Wear them for going to the pub in! Next pair I would like a 38/28 to wear with big boots for winter. Best denim you’ll find, made in England too. Treat yourself.

There are crops, like the modern banana, that have got so weak, disease ridden and vulnerable that scientists are now analysing their DNA to find the plant or plants that formed the origin of what we eat today. Likewise, if they took modern, wafer thin, stretchy, worn-out-in-minutes jeans and traced their DNA back to when they were still healthy and strong and actually useful for something, they would probably come up with something that looks remarkably like Hebtroco jeans.

I love my Hebtroco jeans. They’re just like I remember jeans used to be. Discovering Hebtroco is like finding a shop that still sells proper size Curly Wurlys and Wagon Wheels that are the size of wagon wheels.

Stylish, hard wearing jeans . Looking as though they are in for the long haul and it’s a good thing they are made in England by well established trades. Have bought several Hebtroco garments now and I’ve been impressed by the high standard of craftmanship and durable, solid construction.
Re the price – a bit steep, but you pays your money for quality and so far, well worth it.

My first pair of HebTroCo jeans and my first pair of Selvedge jeans. I thought I’d treat myself for my birthday and I have to say that it really was money well spent.
The fit is excellent, as is the feel of the jeans. I’m going to struggle to buy any other jeans from here in in

Another excellent, top quality pair of jeans from HebTroCo. A great fit, with selvedge from the environmentally-friendly denim masters at Candiani. Treat yourself to a pair is my advice.

The R14s are my second pair of Hebtroco jeans. These are much more wearable from the get go. My first pair were 36/32s M16s worn with turn ups and found them a bit tight on the waist. They are also seriously rigid until worn and washed a couple of times. I bought the R14s 36/30 to wear with no turn up. Not so tight on the waist and they feel easier to wear. The colour is lighter and the denim, while still tough, is not quite so rigid. Really nice fit and great cut for wearing with a shirt for work. Highly recommend.
