Made from a soft 9oz peached 100% cotton drill cloth from Brisbane Moss in Todmorden. Cotton is from the US, woven, dyed and finished in Turkey.
Not your average chinos. We’ve ditched all that “middle management, Trump-alike ugliness” replacing it with proper cloth and quality make, packed with substance in a smart military style.
There’s enough tension in the weave and weight of the cloth to give a nice firm drape without being too heavy.
Pocketing is the same heavier weight 100% cotton as per all our latest denim jeans.
British-made horn buttons for the fly and back pockets.
Smart side seam front pockets (secret pocket as always in the left pocket bag).
Two rear welt pockets with buttoned flaps and sewn in button bearers.
Amelia has designed this pattern with details drawn from two pairs of military chinos from the 1950s, one Italian and one American. She then added our modern relaxed taper fit to this vintage style. The fit is similar in proportion to our 178 Jeans and Fatigue Pants, but a little slimmer in the knee and leg opening.

The Mili Chinos are made for us by Blackhorse Lane Atelier in London who make all our jeans. They have the reputation of making some of the very best jeans in the world. Like us they’re small scale, independent and value quality above all else.

All seams have a European-style tailored finish with no unfinished edges or overlocked stitching. This makes the inside as clean and sharp as the outside, something that you’ll appreciate every time you wear your Mili Chinos.

In the photos: Ed is 5’8″ / 10.5 stone and wears 30 waist, 28 leg.
If you already have other HebTroCo pants… the Mili Chinos are similar in proportion to our 178 jeans and Fatigue Pants but a little slimmer in the knee and leg opening.

I’ve been looking for a pair of chinos for a while and almost pushed the button on a pair, when I got the Hebtroco ‘heads-up’. So I waited and grabbed a pair of these, as a birthday gift, courtesy of the fam-a-lam.
They’re a tad on the pricey side but the quality (and gift-card) were enough to banish that thought. As usual, the fit is spot on but the finish is a step up, over previous HTC troos. The putty colour is perfect, instead of the standard tan.
Well worth the investment.

A couple of years ago I enquired about possibly making some chino pattern trousers, I have several HebTroCo canvas and mole skin GVNR’s and denim jeans, but wanted something a bit lighter for warmer weather. Well they are finally available, they were so worth the wait! The cut and fit (38/34) is really comfortable and the finish is staggeringly good. Bit on the pricey side but since all my previous (cheaper) chinos never seemed to last, these look and feel that they will go on for years, so worth it in the long run. As a birthday treat to myself I ordered a pair in each colour and am very happy with them.
Ordered them as soon as I saw them on the website (the first day?) and they arrived exactly twenty-four hours later, can’t day better than that.
