Sold out and discontinued.
Sorry you missed it.
The V8 edition of our bestselling Jacksnipe style. Weather resistant waxed cotton outer. Plenty of roomy pockets to stash your stuff. Soft, oily feel that will crease and patina with wear to create a fantastic aged appearance. Designed in Calderdale. Cloth from Dundee. Horn buttons from the Cotswolds. Cut and sewn together in Great Yarmouth.
The Jacksnipe is a roomy jacket designed to be worn over lots of layers without feeling bulky. Big jumpers, overshirts are all accommodated with ease. There’s plenty of room in the sleeves and body to allow you to move freely – no fuss, all function.
You can also wear it over just a t-shirt. The Jacksnipe is a year-round solution to help you get the most out of your HebTroCo wardrobe. Layer up and go.
We get all the weather on the Pennines. Temperatures go up and down. Ed wanted something jacket-length that he could wear with (or without) the warmers of the HebTroCo wardrobe. Over the years, we’ve picked up lots of vintage hunting jackets and they gave us plenty of ideas to work with. A-line fit, plenty of pockets, a weather-resisting finish that will age nicely – all key points in the design brief.
Made from a 100% BCI cotton outer finished with a traditional wax finish by Halley Stevensons of Dundee. Cut and sewn for us in the Far East (of England) in Great Yarmouth.
Like all previous editions of the Jacksnipe Overjacket, the V8 is a limited run and won’t be repeated.

Made in the Far East
(of England)
Based in Great Yarmouth, Yarmouth Oilskins started making in 1898 as Yarmouth Stores, supplying fishermen with clothing, hosiery, seamen’s oil and waterproof clothing. Over the years they’ve supplied workwear and speciality waterproof garments to the industries of the sea.
They’re a small scale, independent company with a background in traditional workwear. Their story and values align well with ours.

Product Care
Do not machine wash, do not dry clean, do not iron.
Ideally you’re not going to wash a wax cotton jacket.
Spot clean any bad stains gently with a damp cloth.
If you absolutely must, it can be hand washed in cool water but do not spin it, drip dry only and definitely do not tumble dry.

I bought a couple of weeks ago in the last heatwave and have been waiting to wear it! Finally cool misty drizzly day yesterday and out in came. Colour, materials and fit are wonderful, will fast become my go to throw on everyday jacket. Two compliments from passing people on first outing need I say more.

What can I say. Jacksnipe number 6 and it’s glorious. The colour is even better in the flesh and I’m loving the classic wax finish. You just know this is going to age, beautifully. Pockets go on forever.

Been after one of these ever since I saw the green edition a while back. When the insider email came out I knew I had to grab one before they all went and I missed it for good. The colour is nice and dark and contrasts perfectly with the lovely bright green inside. Pockets for days including the HebTroCo staple bag for life’s on the inside, this time finished off with button close. All in all a beautiful lightweight yet weather proof jacket that’s gonna be perfect for our wild British weather. Roomy enough for layering but tailored enough for just a tee underneath. Am super chuffed to finally have one of these in my collection.
