Jacksnipe Overjacketdry-wax 100% cotton / 5.25 oz
The Jacksnipe Overjacket returns in “The Colonel”, a mustard yellow, dry-waxed herringbone twill built for year-round wear. Lightweight, showerproof, and cut to layer with ease. Made from fabric finished by Halley Stevensons in Dundee, cut and sewn to our design in Great Yarmouth.
The HebTroCo all-season layer
Lightweight enough to throw over a t-shirt AND cut to fit over bulky layers when it turns cold. The Jacksnipe gives you space, movement, weather protection, and everyday practicality without unnecessary bulk. All year round.
“The Colonel” brings a new fabric to the Jacksnipe line-up. A dry-waxed herringbone twill made from organic cotton – it’s the first time we’ve used a herringbone twill on a Jacksnipe, which is surprising given how often we’ve used it elsewhere. It’s a cloth we keep coming back to for good reason. The weave adds real texture, shifting the way light hits the garment and lifting both dark and light tones as it moves. The dry waxed finish brings rain-resistance without the weight, it’s breathable too and has a soft, dry handle that will develop patina with time with wear.

Made in the Far East
(of England)
Based in Great Yarmouth, Yarmouth Oilskins started making in 1898 as Yarmouth Stores, supplying fishermen with clothing, hosiery, seamen’s oil and waterproof clothing. Over the years they’ve supplied workwear and speciality waterproof garments to the industries of the sea.
They’re a small scale, independent company with a background in traditional workwear. Their story and values align well with ours.
Size Guide

Our size charts show the flat measurements of each garment.
Since everything we do is made by hand, there can be a slight variation between pieces (up to 2% either way is considered within tolerance). Natural fibres can also shift slightly during production, with a bit of stretch or shrinkage being part of the process.
Any questions at all please email us and we'll do our best to guide you.

Product Care
Ideally you’re not going to wash a wax cotton jacket.
Spot clean any bad stains gently with a damp cloth.
If you absolutely must, it can be hand washed in cool water but do not spin it, drip dry only and definitely do not tumble dry.
Reproof with Halley Stevenson’s reproofing product.
