The Action Blanket started as a bit of a laugh in lockdown. To our surprise it quickly became HebTroCo’s biggest selling product.
A wearable blanket with a daft name sounds like a joke but customers loved the quality of the Huddersfield mill woven blankets we chose to make that first batch. So simple and practical, people wore them in camper vans, working from home, in beer gardens, at barbecues – and just sat watching the telly.
Five years on and we decided it was time for the comeback. But this time we’d do it differently. Created in partnership with textile designer Rebecca Ough at Salt Weave Studio, each blanket has been handwoven on a vintage loom using all British sourced yarn right here. The inspiration is the landscape and the weaving heritage of where we’re from here in the Pennines. There’s a touch of camo and a hint of skeleton in the pattern and the colours are a nod to the beauty and wildness of the moors that we see every day. It’s very HebTroCo.

Product Care
It’s wool, it will rarely need a wash.
If you absolutely have to, cool hand wash only.
Avoid putting it in a washing machine, if you must, do not spin it.
Dry flat on a table, do not hang on the line, the wool fibres will hate you for it.
