Warp + Weft / an adventure back into modern folk24.10.26, Hebden Bridge

Events | August 05, 2026

Warp + Weft is a new event that we’re helping to organise. It’s an adventurous mix of outdoor activities, a foraged feast and an evening show with live music from folk to electronica.

The first event piloted back in May with a sell out show at the tiny Woodhead Chapel in the Peak District. 50 people joined us on the day to walk, eat, listen and dance together. It was pretty special!

Join the next chapter…

On Saturday 24th October we will bring the adventure to Hebden Bridge. Our base will be the magnificent Birchcliffe Centre with space to shop and eat as well as listen and dance to music. It’s a great spot to explore what’s on offer in the wonderful Upper Calder Valley.

TICKETS

There are options on the day of a guided walk or run, both socially paced, exploring the amazing landscape, history and folklore of the immediate area.

There will be a daytime Bazaar, with a HebTroCo pop up shop and other interesting friends selling their own made goods. We’ll have a bar with alcohol plus alcohol free options.

Rose from La Vie en Rose will be offering limited places for an autumnal foraged feast with drinks and all the trimmings and decorations. Her Bog Cake from the first event we did sets the bar high and we’re sure she will be blowing minds as well as filling bellies!

The evening show will be full of surprises and some gentle participation. Our take on modern folk music spans the traditional, improvised and experimental with analogue sounds as well as bleeps and basslines.
