Championing local makers

We first met Stanley on a freezing day in December on Todmorden (can you pronounce that?) Market where he sells locally baked bread. He was wearing a pair of HebTroCo moleskin jeans that he’d picked up from Oxfam in town. We got chatting and he explained how he was printing tie dye stuff in a unit he was renting for peanuts after it was flood damaged. Good local connections lead to great products.

From regenerative farming practices to sustainable end product

These T-shirts are made from Australian Super Cotton which has a long staple (fibre) length. This means you can create a stronger garment out of less yarn. Fewer fibres in turn mean softness and a more luxurious feel. The raw premium cotton feels very soft and silky, with a bit of a shine to it, similar to wool.

Cotton comes from a single origin which is Glenn Rogan’s family farm in St George, Australia. Glenn voluntarily uses Best Management Practices (myBMP) whilst growing his cotton.

Made in Manchester, tie dyed in Mytholmroyd

All our t-shirts are made in Manchester. The raw cotton arrives as a bale at English Fine Cottons, where it’s spun into thread. Manchester was the original Cottonopolis. This is a proper British t-shirt.

Every bale has its own unique number, so we can trace each one back to the harvest date and even its location in the field. Keep it geeky, keep it cool.

Sizing Guide

In the photos, Ed is wearing medium. He’s 5’8″ and 10.5 stone. For a looser baggy fit, go up a size.

Any questions at all please email us and we’ll do our best to guide you.

Wonderful design, looks really good on. Fit and quality are absolutely perfect as usual. Hope you do more limited runs; love knowing that’s someone down the local won’t be wearing exactly the same t-shirt. Great to know where the products are from and that we’re supporting small local businesses.

If I’m going to spend £50 on a T-Shirt it’s got to be:
Handmade in Britain. So I know the people making it are being treated well and paid fairly.
    Be of exceptional quality.
That way I know I’m going to get at least 5 years wear out of it
    Made of ethically sourced cotton.
So I’m doing my bit for the environment.
Also, the printed design has to be amazing and unique.
So the chances of me bumping into a bloke down the pub wearing the same t-shirt are pretty slim. (Maybe not in Hebden Bridge.)
This t-shirt ticks all those boxes and more.
Add to the above that this is a Limited Edition run of only 50. That has been expertly Hand Printed for god’s sake, and all of a sudden fifty quid feels like a steal!
    This is a collector’s item.
This will still look cool in 30 years time, even if I don’t.
I can’t wait to see the other designs you have in the series.

Love this limited edition T shirt, great fit and design. Glad I managed to get this one as the second limited edition t shirt was released in sizes up to XL. I’m a bit broader across the chest so need an XXL.
