Yes it’s a t-shirt made with seaweed but you won’t smell like a fish don’t worry.
185gsm jersey, same as our other nicely mid-weight t-shirts but this time it’s 70% cotton and 30% seaweed/wood pulp.
Made in Manchester.
We chose this cloth because we’re interested in trying alternative fibres – the sustainability credentials on this one checks all the boxes.

Made in Manchester using a premium, fully traceable ‘super’ cotton mixed with sustainable Lyocell SeaCell™ fibre.
Our specially blended yarn has been made from carbon neutral Australian ‘Super’ Cotton, a long staple, fully traceable cotton grown in Queensland, Australia.
Our farmers are constantly working to produce a more resilient crop in order to lessen the need for pesticides, increase biodiversity and reduce water usage.
The cotton is traceable all the way back to the farmers paddock to ensure it is farmed ethically and everyone involved benefits from the production.
The raw fibres of the cotton have then been blended with SeaCell™ during our spinning process.
Made from renewable organic resources, a mix of wood pulp and seaweed are spun to make the SeaCell™ fibre.
SeaCell™ is produced within a closed loop production process meaning minimal waste and energy usage is required.
The fibre through a patented process retains vitamins, trace elements, amino acids and minerals that are present in the seaweed and is 100% biodegradable.
Certified by a multitude of institutes including EU-Ecolabel and OEKO-Tex 100 standard.
It’s supposed to have magical properties but we’re taking this with a dose of sea salt. Seaweed has iron, calcium, magnesium and Vitamin E in it and your natural body moisture is supposed to transfer these into your skin. Please email us with details of the effect if it has on you. It’s also supposed to hydrate you but we recommend you don’t stop drinking tap water.

Another great T-shirt from Hebtroco. Now own a few and the same as with the others great quality, great fit. Particularly like these new colours of Hydrangea and Slate so hope they restock on these as out of my size already so pleased I got one asap. Want a good quality T-shirt then get one. The slate colour is my favourite to date as goes well with a variety of coloured shorts or looks great with a pair of jeans or chinos.
