Raw Bale to Yarn
200kg bales of cleaned, raw Supima cotton fibres from the USA arrive at English Fine Cottons in Manchester ready to be transformed into yarn.
The whole process of transforming the raw cotton into a workable yarn is fully automated. It’s a marvel to behold.
Sewn to our exclusive pattern
The finished yarn only travels as far south as Leicestershire to be knitted into a mid weight 320gsm jersey, before returning to Manchester to be sewn into sweatshirts.
Raglan sleeves for the classic sporting shoulders look.
Lock stitched for a clean, unfussy finish.
Ribbed side panels to match the neck and cuffs.
Transparency & Traceability
The Raglan Sweatshirt is made from 100% Supima Cotton grown in California by J G Boswell.
Each bale of cotton is fully traceable right back to the date, time and area of the field it was harvested from. We value this information as it provides provenance that the cotton we use in our sweatshirts is sourced ethically and responsibly.

I like tomato soup, and I like this sweatshirt.
It is a really good fit, slightly longer in the body than your average sweatshirt. I like that, it doesn’t ride up your back and it’s really good on the pushbike to protect your arse crack from spray!
Great quality. I bought mine in the sale, so the reduced price a real bonus.
I have since ordered another in navy blue for those occasions when I don’t want to stand out in the crowd.
