The must have toy for boys in the 1970s was a Man of Action. What he wore, we wanted to wear, and for some of us that phase never ended.
Knitted from 100% wool from Yorkshire farms, complete with real suede shoulder and elbow patches.
The watch caps, smock, field jacket and black boots have all found their big boy form in the HebTroCo range at different times. And now we finally have the jumper.
Are you ready for some Action?
For some of us it’s history and for others it’s actual memory. The toy of the decade for boys was a Man of Action and finally it was OK for us to play with dolls.Â
The clothes you could buy, or have made by your granny, for your action figure helped shape the look of what some of us wanted to wear ourselves. For some of us it was a phase that lasted.Â
Knitted with British wool from farms in Yorkshire
It’s the same wool as we use in our Big Jumpers. They’ve been really popular and many customers have said that these are like jumpers used to be; knitted in natural fibres in a chunky pattern, properly warm and long lasting. Not thin or throwaway, not acrylic and certainly no static!
Wool is carded, spun and dyed at the Zaccheus Hinchliffe mill in Denby Dale (the village famous for making the biggest pie in the world) in Yorkshire of course.
Jumpers are knitted by the famous Highland 2000 in Nottingham (to prove that we’re not too big for our boots by thinking we can do everything in Yorkshire).
Hand wash or dry clean only.
