It’s wool, it doesn’t need washing every time you wear it.

If you absolutely have to, cool hand wash only. Do not put it in a washing machine, do not spin it. Dry flat on a table, do not hang on the line, the wool fibres will hate you for it.

1kg of cosy

Lambswool is about as soft as wool can get. It's the first shearing of young sheep when their fleeces are shorter and much finer in texture. The Burler is knitted from 100% Merino lambswool. Merino sheep are prized for the exceptional fineness of their fleece, so a lambswool that's also Merino... well, that's a softness supernova.

The Burler weighs in at around a kilo (depending on the size you choose). The dense knit holds onto warmth, making it more jacket than cardigan.

And the name?

In the wool trade, the burler is the person responsible for removing any flaws from the cloth - knots, burrs and loose threads. We like the name because it's got a satisfyingly burly ring to it, and for a knitted jacket this robust and this well-made, it feels entirely appropriate.
