OS Shirt / Whisky Cord

100% Cotton / 325 gsm

Take a trip to the peaty streams of distiller dreams in the corduroy version of the Over Stoodley Shirt, our classic overshirt cut. Made from weighty 8-wale jumbo cord in a warm whisky yellow, it's rich in texture and, like a good dram, will only get better with age. Cut and sewn to our spec and design in Enfield.

OS stands for Over Stoodley...

Named after the hill that rises above Todmorden. It’s crowned by The Pike, an imposing gritstone tower, an iconic local landmark and a point of reference we see every day.

Seasons change and people come and go, but The Pike stands strong and true. That’s why this overshirt takes its name. A dependable layer for changing seasons, made to be worn often and kept for years.

Corduroy is a heavy woven cotton fabric and the Upper Calder Valley, where we’re based, is famous for once weaving it. During the Industrial Revolution, garments made of corduroy were the clothes of the people, the original workwear. Hardwearing, warm and long lasting, all the things clothes needed to be to get through long days at the mill or labouring in the field.
