Jacksnipe Overjacket / Dam Blue

When the weather threatens wet, grab a Jacksnipe
Dam Blue is the twelfth edition of the Jacksnipe and is made from the same heavy duty Halley Stevensons cloth we use for the Roadrunner Jacket. It’s weighty, weatherproof and has a firm handle that moulds to your shape. But what really sets this cloth apart is the way it ages. It’s made to develop a distressed, vintage aesthetic quickly. Even after a couple of wears Ed’s sample was already showing strong signs of that broken-in look.
The Jacksnipe has its roots in hunting jackets, where weather resistance, utility and the ability to accommodate plenty of kit all mattered. We’ve got a couple of vintage examples in our collection and they gave us plenty of ideas to work with. We get all the weather on the Pennines. Temperatures go up and down. We wanted something jacket-length that could be worn over the warmer layers of the HebTroCo wardrobe. A-line fit, plenty of pockets - that was the spec.
There’s plenty of room through the shoulders and pits to swallow even the chunkiest of mid layers, while the silhouette always stays tidy, even in a spring downpour with just a t-shirt underneath. In the depths of winter, we’ve worn ours over a shirt, jumper, wool vest and light jacket without a problem. The cut adjusts to whatever you’ve got underneath. That's the magic of a Jacksnipe.
