BRTR-14 Selvedge Denim Jeans / Indigo

14 oz / 100% cotton selvedge denim

Straight leg fit with a bit more breathing room through the hip, thigh and calf than our GVNR jeans. The BRTR gives you more space where it matters without drifting into an over baggy silhouette. A relaxed and easy fit that still holds its shape and looks balanced across a wide range of builds.

Turn-ups: We ship the BRTR-14 without a turn-up. If you prefer to wear your jeans with a permanent turn-up, choose a longer leg length to accommodate this. For example, if you’re a 30″ leg and you’d like to fold in a turn-up, choose a 32″.

Your HebTroCo jeans are made with an extra 1-inch in the leg to compensate for first wash shrinkage (e.g. a 30″ will measure 31″ before first wash). Any shrinkage will be in the leg, not the waist.

Since everything we do is made by hand, there can be a slight variation between pieces (up to 2% either way is considered within tolerance). Natural fibres can also shift slightly during production, with a bit of stretch or shrinkage being part of the process.

  • Solid brass buttons - of which 80% is recycled. No toxic finishes. HebTroCo skull top button. Made by Berning in Germany.
  • Sanforised to limit first wash shrinkage - No shrinkage in the waist. Up to 1″ in leg length (we include an extra inch to allow for this).

The BRTR-14 jeans are made from raw selvedge denim. Please follow the wash and care instructions included with your order to avoid f*cking them up.

Raw denim is not colourfast and requires special attention when laundering.

The Big Brother of the GVNR

BRTR, pronounced “brother”, is the big sibling of our classic GVNR fit, giving you more room in the hip, thigh, knee and leg opening. Designed by Amelia on our cutting table in Calderdale then cut and sewn for us in East London.

This 14oz version of the BRTR is made from raw indigo selvedge denim woven from 100% organic cotton. The change from the previous 15oz denim makes them a touch lighter to wear. They're visually different, with a darker shade of indigo and a classic diagonal right-hand twill weave, replacing the broken twill used in the BRTR-15.

Why Pick HebTroCo Jeans?

Let’s face it… mainstream menswear has set the bar low for jeans quality. The race to cut costs has led to thinner denim, the introduction of stretch, and a loss of construction detail in favour of a “fits-all” blueprint.

We’ve taken a different path. All our jeans are made from 100% cotton raw denim, rigid, no stretch, so the fit has to come from the pattern rather than the fabric. Shape and balance are built into the design, rather than relying on stretch to do the work. No shortcuts – just proper denim, cut to fit well from the get-go.
