We went down to Stoke on Trent to meet Sean, one of the organisers of a new custom motorcycle show with big ambitions. He was kind enough to show us the Harley Davidson Shovelhead chopper that he has built himself and he let us dress him up in HebTroCo gear to take some photos.
Saturday 6th October is the “Chopper Show” with 40 of the best choppers, built by some of Europe’s leading builders, on display. Trade stalls from independent brands, art and photography exhibitions and a “Ride in Bike Show” where visitors can display their bikes will fill the vast and impressive space of the venue. Of course there will be food available, as well as a fully stocked bar including proper beer from a local micro brewery.
HebTroCo will have a trade stand at the chopper show with a selection of products to try on and buy. We’re also proud to support the event with a prize of £400 to spend on HebTroCo products. The prize will go to the winner of the Vintage Bike Class. The HebTroCo “Sled” and “Space Chopper” bikes will be at the show with us for looking at, sitting on and selfie taking.
The event is unlike anything in the country and will be a significant addition to Europe’s custom bike scene. Things kick off on Friday 5th October with a “Night at the Races”. Stoke Speedway Stadium will host the UK’s top flat track racers who will compete for big prizes. After the racing starts the party with live music, DJs and drinking. Ed will be entered in the Vintage Bike class to race the HebTroCo BMW R80 “Sled” which has been custom built by Dust Motorcycles. He is unlikely to win £400 of HebTroCo products.
In the photos Sean is wearing a 1485 Wool Jacket (£250), Governor Moleskin trousers in dark grey (£125), British Standard T-shirt (£40-£50), Garrison Belt (£175-£200) and a pair of Moto Boots (£250-£270). £400 will get you a lovely jacket and trouser combination with money left over to go towards some boots, a belt, a pocket knife or even a pair of brogues to go to work in.
Tickets for the racing and the show have recently gone on sale. Google up Six Town Chopper Show for all the details. We hope to see lots of you there, whatever kind of bikes you are into. The whole event will be great for people who are curious about flat track racing and cool bikes as well as those who are already involved in this fantastic world of custom culture.
