Ed was invited to the Drapers Fashion Awards as their guest and it was thrilling to see them win the prestigious award for Fashion Supplier of the Year. It’s a well regarded UK industry accolade and this is the third time that they’ve won it! Major innovation with sustainability was listed as a principle reason for winning.
Over the last 3 years they’ve painstakingly developed a new plant based wax treatment, using food industry byproducts.
Their cottons are sustainably sourced with long term industry partners and controlling organisations such as OCS (Organic Content Standard) and BCI (Better Cotton Initiative).
They’re also certified bluesign® system partners with the strictest environmental and worker safety standards.
With characteristic humility Ed was happy to grab the award and wave it about as if winning was all down to HebTroCo.

He agonised over this, neither wanting to look like an estate agent trying to imitate James Bond or a northern monkey trying to be clever in a double black denim outfit.
- Vintage dinner suit bought from our pals at Never Make Waste in Stockport. It was originally made by Jacksons who used to be a tailor’s shop in Stockport. Got to love a good story!

- No bow tie as he couldn’t bring himself to buy one (it all felt a bit too ‘Tory’).
- Black shoes from Trickers, one of England’s finest shoemakers. Wouldn’t it be great if HebTroCo could have our own shoes made by these experts in Northampton?
